Thank you to our Volunteers!
17 willing volunteers turned up for the call for help to start putting plant protectors on the 10, 454 native plants on the hill top of the Ecosanctuary
While Point Bush Ecosanctuary is completely predator proof fenced, we are still working to eradicate the remaining dwindling population of browsing pests such as Wallaby, Rabbits & Hares that have prevented native species seedlings from being able to regenerate in the past. With this added protection it gives these 10 thousand plus plants the best start possible!
The weather for the day was perfect sunny and calm, with no wind. A huge effort indeed… We managed to get around 3,500 protectors on between 9 am and 3 pm
Keep an eye out on our social media for future working bees, or contact us directly on firstname.lastname@example.org if you would like to be added to our list of volunteers!
We are always looking for extra hands, experience & expertise!
