Pinot Noir 2009 (Bronze Medal)
Crafted from grapes sourced in Waipara Canterbury and processed in our winery * an excellent vintage year * this wine has a deep burgundy hue * full body * good mouth extension * an explosion of ripe plums & berries * definitely a wine to decant to allow to breathe prior to drinking at room temperature to enjoy the fullness of this wine.
Pinot Noir 2011
Crafted from grapes off our vineyard and left to mature in French oak barrels for 2 years * this Pinot Noir has a unique character reflecting the minerality of the clay/loam soil * “earthy ” tastes with hint of liquorice * distinctive dark hue * allow to breathe prior to drinking at room temperature to enjoy the subtleness and fullness of this wine.
Sauvignon Blanc 2015
Crafted from our vineyard, this was our last vintage! Sauvignon Blanc wine is traditionally drunk “young” in NZ * but this 2015 vintage retains it’s freshness despite it’s age. Our unique terroir and pure wine processing is reflected in this Sauvignon Blanc’s light crisp style * with tastes of green apple & melon * the hint of minerality is induced through vines grown on a clay and loam vineyard * best drunk in winter season at room temperature to impart the characters and in summer chill and add a few sliced local waimate strawberries for an additional zing.
Methode Traditionelle (Bubbles)
“Milestone” has been crafted in a traditional champagne method style * chardonnay grape base * best served chilled and, when in season, add a few sliced local Waimate Strawberries for a perfect Summer’s Day beverage! Do note there may sometimes be “wine” diamonds in the base of the bottle. These are harmless natural occuring tartrates .Tartrates sometimes form during the wine’s cold stabilisation process so take care with the last pour of wine.
